托福写作范文：

Most of the work today is done in groups since the advance of science and technology has greatly increased the complexity of the jobs. Hence, the quality of the group members may well determine the final result of the projects, which means it is critical for the leaders to pay great attention to the group members they choose. Some people think group members who can get along with others or who can communicate clearly are the best options. However, from my perspective, honesty is actually the most important quality for a good group member.

To begin with, being honest can ensure the quality of the project. It is well-known that the quality of the project heavily relies on the jobs of the group members, so if group members do not tell the truth, it is going to affect the result greatly. For example, one group member may lie about his progress, making the leader thinks that he has finished his job and the whole group could move on to the next step, while the fact is that he is still far behind. In this case, in order to pretend that he has completed the job, he may provide fabricated data to other group members and this behavior may result in the failure of the whole project. In contrast, if he doesn’t tell the lie and is honest about his progress, the other group members may decide to do something that doesn’t need his data to wait for him, which could ensure the good result of the project.
