2020年10月24日托福独立口语范文：Some people prefer to work in a company where they have the independence to complete tasks and work out solutions to problems on their own. Others prefer to work in an environment where they are told exactly what they need to do. Which work situation would you prefer and why?

I prefer the first one because it can train my ability to solve problems independently. For example, I remember when I was in college, I was doing a part time job in a big company. At first I was kinda overwhelmed by the whole work situation because there was barely any help from my colleagues, and I was thinking to myself, like, what is this, arent you guys gonna help someone who’s new to this company? But then as time went on, I found I learnt a lot in the process of solving problems on my own, and now I don’t think I need any help. By contrast, I think if I got help from my colleagues, I would not have a better handle on things I needed to do, and my work efficiency would be relatively low.
