Generally speaking, I think we should respond to others’ messages promptly whenever possible. For starters, it contributes to a better relationship. What if our friends have something urgent to ask? A delayed response could cause troubles. Even if they’re not stuck with problems, they may want to share their thoughts and feelings with us, yet once the moment is passed, we may lose the chance of learning something about them for good. Personally, I prefer to wait for a moment and then reply to my friend. I think this is more prudent.
