1.玩简单玩具好

a.能巩固课堂上学到的基础知识：可以巩固学校里所学的知识，比如计数、识字等，让孩子将学习的理论知识运用于实际。相反电脑手机等没有这样的好处。

b.能激发学生主动探究而不是被动接受：在玩玩具的过程中可能会遇到问题，会产生information gap(现有的知识和解决问题所需要的知识)，可以激发学生学习的兴趣

2. 跟朋友到外面玩好

a.身体健康：避免久坐，户外活动时间越长，孩子的肌肉就能得到锻炼，可以伸展身体，改善身体健康

b.心理健康：和朋友出去玩可以避免沉迷电脑游戏，也不会被家长批评，孩子不会有那么大的压力，因而心情放松

In this digital age, it is not uncommon to see children playing their cellphones, iPad or laptop all the time. They find fun from them but show no interest in simpler toys or playing outside with their friends. From my point of view, it is better for children to play with simpler toys or to play outside with friends.

First of all, the drawbacks of playing technological products for too long are obvious. The most troublesome and irreversible risk is their harm to health. Staring at the screen for a long time may cause shortsightedness and cervical spondylopathy might occur after continuous exposure. Besides, since children are too young to pull themselves out of those addictive applications and games, their obsession will distract them from schoolwork. It is really a terrible truth. I even read a piece of news about a 13-year-old boy who dropped out of school and had disappeared for 1 month, staying in an Internet bar playing LOL, the most population online game back then, leaving his parents desperately worrying about his safety.

With the advent of technology, such as computers, smart phones and video games, there is a trend that children have now become a heavy user of such technology. Seeing this, some people argues that playing outside with friends or simple toys is better for children’s development. In my opinion, children would have a better development in terms of improving their imagination and interpersonal skills if they play with simple toys or play with their friends outdoors.

Children’s imagination would benefit from playing with simple toys. For example, when playing simple toys like dolls, children would usually give them names and use them to create a story. In the process of making up a story with dolls, children would use their imagination to come up some logical and reasonable plots. Children’s imagination would be greatly enhanced during such process. By contrast, if they spend much of their time on some technological gadgets like smart phones, children would usually end up watching appealing cartoons. Their imagination would not be improved, since watching cartoons is just to enjoy the interesting plots of stories in the cartoons, not to exercise their own imagination to come up with stories plots. So, playing simple toys would indeed be beneficial to children’s imagination.
