As students who are taking this TOEFL test now, planning to study abroad, the inevitable problem that we will meet is to adapt to a brand-new environment. While some people choose to wholly rely on the orientation for freshmen to get familiar with their campuses, others may depend on seniors in the same school who they knew. As far as I’m concerned, meeting regularly with a student with experience actually has better effect.

First and foremost, students who have been in this university for several years have more experiences after long time spending on the campus. Instead of figuring everything out on your own, which is time-consuming and energy-wasting, you can simply turn to them for information. They know during which hours there is an available seat in the library in the period of finals after hundreds of times of failure to occupy one; They know which professors tough graders or amazing lecturers are; And they know the shortest route to the lecture hall if you happen to get up late and about to be late for class. These are all real problems ahead of us in our daily campus life. Who would be a better teacher than the ones who have already been through all of these problems?
