托福独立写作范文:
With the development of science, finance and technology, a growing number of countries are now positively battling on terms of space travel and space exploration, and meanwhile more and more people are also debating on the rationality of such behavior. For me, I think the answer to this question whether it’s a waste of time for governments to fund such programs depends on mainly two factors: first, economic and social affordability; second, rational necessity.
To start with, economic and social affordability is of great importance when answering this question. For countries in North America and Europe, which are traditionally more economic-developed countries, spending money on space exploration is economically attainable, which means that the spending won’t by any means affect the government’s normal operation, and also won’t disrupt their civilians’ daily life. The same is true of my homeland, China, the newly fast-developing country, which has equipped itself with well-established physical facilities and scientific strength for space surveys. However, for most underdeveloped countries which are not rich enough, however hard they would like to perform the programs, they might just be wasting the time. Some of them are not only bounded with economic burdens, busy dealing with problems related to food and clothing, but are not stable enough to pacify the common folks as well. If the poor hear about this news that their government is going to spend money on space instead of caring about their hard life, chances are that social contradictions will burst out and evolve into large-scale unrest. Such possibilities are even higher in areas filled with people of different religious believes. Under such conditions, how could we expect such funding not to be a waste of time?
From what I have analyzed above, we could clearly see the importance of economic and social affordability as a prerequisite. And now let’s put another point: rational necessity, in other words, the significance. Even if a government has equipped itself with adequate economic and social conditions, we have to judge whether such funds are reasonable enough. This depends on the government’s short-term targets and long-term goals. What positions should we put space travel, the symbol of high technology and international dignity, on the list-to-do? After the reduce of regional disparity, or before the construction of rural educational infrastructure? It varies according to regional and periodical traits. In a long-term view, funding space travel and space exploration is definitely beneficial: Such 。。。。。。。此处省略部分范文!
