This is an era of technology. From computers to smartphones to artificial intelligence, technologies exist in every corner of our lives. Many schools today have also introduced technologies to classrooms to facilitate teaching and learning. However, despite its apparent benefits, technologies also bear possible problems that should not be overlooked. Therefore, I believe that although students definitely enjoy access to various technologies, they should not spend too much time on that but instead should be moderately limited.

Firstly, students, who are still teenagers, are a group of people that are most easily to be distracted by and addicted to technological devices. And when technology addiction takes place, the consequence is always no good news. In my school, for example, every classroom has a big electronic screen. Normally it is used by the teachers to display Slides. Sometimes, however, students will use it for their own entertainment during breaks and lunchtime. Once they even took advantage of the huge screen and played the video games for the whole lunch break — they were so obsessed with the game that they even failed to notice when the class started after lunch. Cases like this were already creating disturbance for students and teachers: other students cannot rest in class because of the game noise while the teachers cannot start the class in time because of these students. More importantly, the students who played games themselves were distracted from the focus of study, and many of them gradually fell behind other classmates. This example clearly demonstrates how excessive use of technology may harm the students. And because the students often have low self-discipline and self-control, I believe it is necessary to limit their time spent on technology.
