2020年10月17日托福独立口语范文：When students are reading, some choose the books from the reading list given by their school, while others choose books by themselves. Which do you prefer?

I prefer to choose the books from the reading lists offered by school since this could expand the topics I’d read about, I mean, the school’s booklist usually covers a wide range of topics and genres, including fiction, biography, journal articles, some of which may not seem attractive at first sight, but may turn out to be quite interesting once we give it a try. In contrast, the books picked by myself are often limited to certain field since I’m used to reading the books written by certain authors. Moreover, some people may argue that the booklist provided by school is rather boring. However, given the fact that schools today try hard to develop students’ interest in reading, I’m sure they’ll manage to recommend books which are both instructive and entertaining.
