As for me, I disagree with the statement. Instead, I think the most successful student should equip with following qualities. The first one is hardworking. Hard work means that the person could bear hardship, which is essential to be successful. Newton is a good example. He was not that clever when he was young, but he worked hard to stay up late in order to compensate his lack of intelligence. As a result, he found out the Force of Law successfully. Also, successful students should also be ambitious. These students are courageous to challenge, so that they are less likely to be frightened by problems. That's why I disagree intelligence decides whether students will succeed or not.
